LOGO DESIGN

What is meant by logo?
A simple shape, symbol or small design adopt by an organization to identify its product is called a logo. It creates a great impact on your company, it’s the only reason why clients give too much for logo designing.
“Design is the silent ambassador of your brand.” Paul Rand
Following are some important factors to design a great logo
1.Unique and creative:
A creative logo is easy to recognize and it helps people to recognize the brand easily and its identity. If your logo has some unique factor then people will remind it for decades… unique logo derives its meaning from the quality of the thing it symbolizes, what it means is more important than what it looks like, so it's necessary to do a thought process and came up with a unique and interesting idea before designing a logo.
2.Black and white:
Before designing any logo you must start to design logo in Black and white and without using multiple colors. The reason behind this is you should know how it will appear when the printing used will be in Black and white. As we already know the logo can be embedded on stationary design. So, it should well appear on black and white printing.
“I strive for two things in design: simplicity and clarity. Great design is born of those two things.” Lindon leader
3.Scalable:
Sometimes logo looks great on a big scale but loses its value when it appears on a smaller scale, so before finalizing the logo it's very necessary to check how it will appear on a small scale. The logo not only is restricted to the Letterhead, Business card, or on the Product Package. Yes, the logo can be used in web world or on a big banner. So, it should be easily scalable and shouldn’t lose its quality when the size is increased.
4.Typography:
It’s very important for any type of design, whether it's a Logo design or Website design. Typography plays an important role in the overall of any designing. Typography can make or break any design via the appearance.
Importance of logo design
“Logos and branding are so important. In a big part of the world, people cannot read French or English--but are great in remembering signs”  Karl Lagerfeld
Before making any logo it's necessary to study the product in detail, the designer should have to know about its history, that how this product came into existence? what are the purposes of this product and what target audience use this product?
Using shapes can be an interesting way to add meaning or create new visual interest in a design project. As with any other type of effect, be aware of using too many shapes at once.
The great designer is one who knows the vale of using elements, for example, if we use a circle then what it will represent?
or what is the philosophy behind lines, hues, shapes (circles, ovals, squares, triangles, rectangles…) Using shapes can be an interesting way to add meaning or create new visual interest in a design project. As with any other type of effect, be aware of using too many shapes at once.
Following is the brief that which shape convey what message
Lines:
It represents action, a process, rhythm, movement.
Circle:
This shape represent "Life, Motion, Beginning, Potential, Cosmos, Feminine, Infiniteness, Harmony.:"
Square:
Some conceptual insights into the stabilizing energy of the square include: Security, satisfaction, Structure, Masculine, Order
Triangle:
Triangle symbolism speaks to us of magic and creativity. Here are some other attributes for this symbol, stability, power, energy, Combination, Creation, Manifestation, Illumination, higher elevation,
Spiral:
Spirals can offer tremendous fun and insight. They can also expand our awareness on a grand plan. the spiral may represent: Expansion, Contraction, Creativity, Femininity, Journeying.
Curve:
It is the most free-flowing of all the shape options. This shape is associated with movement, pleasure, and generosity. Curves add a hint of the unexpected to something common.
Golden rule of designing a logo
The Golden Ratio has been in use for at least 4,000 years in human art and design, but it may be even longer than that – some people argue that the Ancient Egyptians used the principle to build the pyramids.
A golden ratio is a special number found by dividing a line into two parts so that the longer part divided by the smaller part is also equal to the whole length divided by the longer part. It is often symbolized using phi, after the 21st letter of the Greek alphabet. in an equation form, it looks like this:
a/b-(a+b)/a= 1.618033
In my opinion, I think golden ration is an important element that you had to be used in all designs. it's distinctive, it's strong, it's very comfortable to the eye but there are beautiful designs were not designed by the golden ratio, So I think that the golden ratio is the best way, but if you can use it.
Geometric shapes: Shape is made with connecting lines and has recognizable geometry. Squares, rectangles, circles, triangles and crosses are geometric shapes. This type of shape often has symmetry and has a structured look and feel to it.
Organic shapes are those that often represent things found in nature. These shapes are more free-flowing and less symmetrical. Organic shapes often represent things such as leaves, rocks, clouds and even elements such as an ink blot. This type of shape has an innate harmony and can add visual interest.
Abstract shapes are super-simple versions of common elements or forms. Abstract shapes are often based on organic shapes. The most common form of an abstract shape is an icon using an outline element.

The selection of color also creates a great impact on your brand identity, as colors have their own meanings

The shape of the peacock's body was also simplified, becoming vertically extend and removing the tips at the bottom and above the head. The little slit in the purple feather is meant to represent the peacock's beak. Moreover, the peacock is also looking to the right, often associated with looking ahead or forward.
