Key Factors To Make Great Designs
UI/UX design is an important aspect of making a website or application work. Good design to a consumer is the great insight to how they could expect to be treated. It’s a vision that takes them into the quality of your products and how easy their experience will be. But design isn’t just about looking good, it must also be smart and intuitive. And while many companies have elevated their design game in recent years, here are few common components which should be kept in mind at the time of making a great design.
Wireframes
Communication
Credibility
Conversions
Quality designs
Prototype
1. Wireframes:
Before the design phase begins, it's very important that you create wireframes for your project to give the client an idea of what to expect. These then need to be approved by the client. With the help of wire frames, the client can easily see the placement of content and where basic things need to be on the screen. If we finalized the content in the initial stage, it's easy for designer and developers to begin working with a good flow.
2. Communication:
It's very important to design a product in such manner that your message gets delivered to your target audience in an easy and effective way, this done by choosing proper slogan, logo and body text.
3. Credibility:
It's very necessary to show your customers that you are trustworthy, the placement of your projects portfolio or product images along with the recommendation of your clients proof that you deliver the work on time along with perfection gives you the edge when competing in the market today.
4. Conversion:
How you are different from other competitors, and how you will bring change in the industry really impresses your customers. Customers already do a fair deal of research of what's already on the market and which factors will improve their product to get success. So when they are reviewing your work and they don’t find out generic factors they will lose interest so it's necessary to show that you have skills to design a mind-blowing project.
5. Quality design
a. Build a “Block frame”: To quickly iterate on app layouts and UX interaction flows. Before you enter into wireframe mode, It's better to build what I call a “block frame” to establish the various regions of my page layout(s). The idea here is to start getting a feel for the grid you just defined, and quickly blocking out the most important parts of the page.
b. Color selection: You will tend to get better results if you stick to max three primary colors in your color scheme. Applying color to a design project has a lot to do with balance and the more colors you use, the more complicated it is to achieve balance. If you need additional colors beyond those you’ve defined in your palette, make use of shades and tints. They will provide a different tone to work with.
c. Pixel perfect: make sure that the assets which you are providing to your developers are pixel perfect, try to use vector icons or svgs so that the sharpness of the image will retain on the website or app.
d. Selection of banner images: before purchasing an image ensure it is a resolution image, and that you have the copyrights of that image, make sure that the size of the image must be compressed because if you use large size images then your site becomes too much heavy and it takes too much time to load the home page
e. Choose the Typeface(s): Typefaces are as important to the design as the colors, so take some time picking the right one(s). Because you’re designing a project for people to use, it’s incredibly important that you pick a good typeface. it compliments your design, that either your fonts going with the theme and is it readable or not. it is necessary to use simple font family for body text if you are using some stylish font for your heading purpose.
f. Color selection: it's necessary that the theme will reflect the colors of your product, so in this scenario if you are making a website or app for a product which already exists then choose its color scheme, if you are making a website for a software company then it will reflect the image of sincerity and matureness, showing the images of your team members also create a great impact that how talented your team is.
g. Interactive: designer should have the knowledge that by applying which interactive qualities website will churn the attention of target audience, for example by applying animated headers backgrounds, video showing in the start, using animated walkthrough of the product or simply doted animation makes a brilliant impact
h. Assets folder: This folder is usually shared with internal/external developing teams. It includes everything they will need to build the app (dummy images/content, fonts, icons, images, and logos). before delivering this folder, make sure that you label all the pngs correctly.
6. Prototype:
Creating and improving products based on prototypes is growing in strength and the prototyping tools by making a prototype/click-through version. Through this prototype the client can get a better understanding of the workflow of the project, it also gives them room to figure out if anything is missing or needs to be added. Azure RP, Flinto, Invission, Adobe xd, and Sketch are some basic tool which creates great prototype, as mentioned earlier it is always important to have the prototypes approved before beginning work as all the pages in the website and app are connected with each other and may affect the performance if changed in the later stages of the project.
